Wow, Google just keeps on enhancing its mobile webpage design and functionality for the better. Last week I posted a screenshot of the new Weather Widget that is web based; today I stumbled across a new design that expands if you pull the screen downwards. Their mobile web UI designer really understands their offering as well as user behavior.
If you are working in the mobile field, you must study Google's mobile design closely; I certainly am.

Those expanding and disappearing icons above each tab are beyond annoying. When I'm aiming for the search box, suddenly and without warning (and not in response to any user action) they expand and my finger now hits the Places button.
Lame, lame, lame.
